Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience shipping (larger-scale B2B) software products
  • Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product, Industrial), Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong fundamentals in complex interaction design problems
  • Strong fundamentals in creating flow charts, wireframes, high-fidelity design mockups, and detailed design specifications
  • Proficient with Figma and other industry-standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVisio, Principle, etc.)
  • A portfolio that highlights design principles, showcases strong UX, UI, and interaction design skills with a high standard for quality, and demonstrates command of visual design, including typography and color theory
  • Good understanding of technology including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Great communication and storytelling skills
  • A self starter with the ability to work effectively in teams

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a small team of product designers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to create current and future product experiences
  • Design new features and enhancements for various StarTree products from start to finish, helping to shape our future as we advance our technology, products, and design standards
  • Help shape the overall design and product direction at StarTree
  • Undertake rapid development of low-fidelity wireframes to communicate design options and align on a solution
  • Create and deliver high-quality products and improvements, with detailed prototypes and visuals
  • Engage in user research to better understand our users and refine our products
