Summary

Join our team as a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support multi-disciplinary teams in UX design and strategic initiatives, focusing on complex, fast-paced, modular product development. This critical role drives execution and alignment between internal (strategy, design) and client teams. The contract position offers a remote work opportunity with a flexible time commitment of 7-10 hours per week for 2-3 months. You will develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, manage UX sprint schedules, and act as the primary client liaison. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills, experience in healthcare or health tech, and familiarity with design and project management tools.

Requirements

  • Experience in the healthcare, scientific research and/or health tech industries
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, research, strategy)
  • Experience with product design management
  • Familiarity with design tools (ex. Figma), PM tools (ex. Jira) and productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to translate between client and internal teams
  • Experience interfacing with external clients and senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow-through
  • This is a mid-senior level role (5+ years' experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for UX design and strategy engagements for product development-oriented initiatives
  • Plan and manage UX sprint schedules, coordinating deliverables across design and strategy teams
  • Field, organize, and prioritize client feedback and strategy/design requests, ensuring timely delivery
  • Act as a primary client liaison-attending meetings, answering day-to-day questions, and managing incoming requests
  • Host regular standups and working sessions to ensure progress aligns with project goals and timelines
  • Monitor project scope and track budget burndown, flagging risks early and proactively managing scope creep
  • Draft and distribute weekly status updates, including burndown reports and risk/issue summaries
  • Know when to escalate or manage up to project leads, particularly on decisions that impact project scope, budget, product strategy or client strategy
  • Translates the strategic lead’s vision into actionable plans and timelines
  • Co-builds project plans, anticipating client, development partner, UX intersection points and milestones to ensure alignment across parties
  • Manages day-to-day project coordination, including standups, timelines, and tracking burndown
  • Fields client requests for logistical updates and requests, escalating strategic questions as needed
  • Prioritizes and organizes feedback, edits, and deliverables for the design team
  • Provides first line review for UX edits, quality control
  • Keeps both Strategic Lead and UX Designer focused and supported by managing blockers, dependencies, and comms
