Summary

The job is for a UX/UI Designer at Hypixel Studios, a remote team working on the game Hytale. The designer will work across disciplines to create beautiful and meaningful experiences from concept through implementation. The role requires 3+ years of UX/UI or Product Design experience, proficiency with Figma, and knowledge of UI design fundamentals.

Requirements

• Must have 3+ years of UX/UI and/or Product Design experience
• Experience creating, and defining UI style guides
• Experience working with Figma (or similar prototyping tools)
• Proven knowledge of UI design fundamentals such as layout, grids, typography, etc

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to craft components in Figma based on the game design objectives, narrative guidelines, and creative targets
• Create visually balanced and player-focused mockups that demonstrate a solid understanding of readability, clarity, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Collaborate with other artists to maintain and push the boundaries of our UI art style
• Understand, communicate and advocate for the design system and associated methodologies across multiple teams and disciplines
• Work with tech and engineering teams to refine the implementation process and workflow

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with creating wireframes and prototypes demonstrating user needs
• Proficiency with UI implementation
• Familiarity with Atomic Design Methodology, Figma Components and Variants systems, and Design Tokens
• Proficiency with After Effects or other animation software to define and demonstrate UI animations
