Summary

Join Thuma's team as a UX/UI Manager, reporting to the Director of eCom. You will lead and mentor the UX/UI team, driving strategies to enhance user experiences and improve website performance. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers, leveraging data-driven insights. This role involves hands-on design, user research, and process improvement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role
  • Proven experience designing intuitive, engaging digital products, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX and interaction design expertise
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Strong understanding of user research methods, usability testing, and analytics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of web and mobile design standards, including accessibility (WCAG) principles

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor the UX/UI team, fostering their growth and development
  • Set clear goals, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality design deliverables
  • Advocate for user-centered & brand forward design practices across the organization
  • Collaborate closely with the brand & creative team to position Thuma as a design company
  • Ensure brand book guidelines are followed and consistency is maintained
  • Identify new brand story telling opportunities across the entire experience
  • Collaborate with the design team to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for key projects, ensuring they align with user needs and business objectives
  • Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and user research efforts
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs
  • Oversee end-to-end UX process from ideation to design in close collaboration with Brand & Creative
  • Collaborate closely with product managers & engineers to define user requirements, goals, and project scope
  • Conduct and oversee user research initiatives, including competitive research and analytics review
  • Translate research insights into actionable design strategies and solutions
  • Develop user personas, customer journey maps, and interaction models to inform design decisions
  • Develop user journeys and information architecture to guide the design process and improve user engagement and conversion
  • Define and refine UX/UI design processes, tools, and standards to increase efficiency and consistency
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies to keep the team at the forefront of UI/UX design
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in all design work
