Summary
Join League as the AVP, Account Management, and play a pivotal role in managing customer health and driving growth. You will nurture and grow existing relationships, identify new opportunities, and ensure the long-term success of League’s global customers. This leadership role involves strategic account planning, solution upselling and cross-selling, relationship management, client advocacy, contract management, executive engagement, customer health monitoring, and value realization. You will also lead and mentor a high-performing team of direct reports. This is a significant opportunity to impact League's growth and the well-being of millions. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of experience in sales and/or account management within the healthcare technology industry, and exceptional sales and relationship-building skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in sales and/or account management within the healthcare technology or health plan or provider industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing and growing strategic accounts
- Exceptional sales, relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with senior executives
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans that drive measurable results
- Proven ability to identify and close expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
- Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools
- Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for a selected portfolio of League’s customers, outlining clear objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive revenue growth
- Proactively identify and execute opportunities for expansion for a selected portfolio of League’s customers, including cross-selling new products and services, and expanding the scope of partnerships
- Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders within League’s customer base
- Serve as the voice of your customer portfolio within League, ensuring their needs and priorities are understood and addressed across relevant internal teams (Product, Marketing, etc.)
- Executing contract negotiations, renewals and amendments for your portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate execution
- Represent League at client meetings and select industry events
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer health, providing regular reporting and actionable insights to internal stakeholders
- Work with the Value Realization team to measure impact and ensure customers are consistently achieving their desired business outcomes and realizing the full value of League's platform and services
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of direct reports managing their own book of clients, fostering their professional growth and ensuring successful KPIs on the team
- As a senior member of the Account Management team and SLT, be responsible for identifying and executing on projects to improve the performance of the account management function
- Compliance with Information Security Policies
- Ensure access management is performed in compliance with the employee's role and responsibilities
- Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures within the department/ team
- Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree is a plus
- Understanding of the US health plan market, including payer business models, priorities, and challenges preferred
