Summary
Join Thrive, a rapidly growing technology solutions provider, as our Vice President of Sales Training & Development! Lead the strategy, development, and execution of sales development and educational programs. This critical role ensures our sales teams possess the necessary skills and resources to exceed targets. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to optimize sales processes, drive revenue growth, and foster continuous learning. Develop and implement comprehensive training programs, utilizing innovative learning methods. Analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and refine training initiatives. Partner with various teams to ensure alignment on product launches and go-to-market strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- 5+ years of sales training experience within the MSP, MSSP or IT industry
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of sales processes, techniques, and tools
- Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make strategic decisions
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales training and enablement strategy aligned with the company’s business goals
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales training and enablement team, ensuring they deliver impactful programs and initiatives
- Partner with the CRO and other executives to align enablement strategies with broader organizational priorities
- Design and implement onboarding programs to accelerate new hires’ ramp-up time
- Develop ongoing training modules focused on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends
- Utilize innovative learning methods (e.g., e-learning platforms, role-playing scenarios) to enhance engagement and retention
- Identify, implement, and manage sales enablement tools, including CRM platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools
- Ensure the sales team has access to high-quality, up-to-date collateral, playbooks, and training materials
- Partner with marketing to create targeted content and messaging for various stages of the sales cycle
- Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training and enablement programs
- Analyze sales performance data to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement
- Implement feedback loops to continuously refine and enhance training initiatives
- Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on product launches, go-to-market strategies, and messaging
- Collaborate with regional sales leaders to tailor programs to local markets and needs
