Summary
Join HyperionDev as Vice President of University Partnerships and play a key role in expanding our university partnership network across North America and Europe. You will be responsible for driving regional growth by acquiring new university partnerships, supporting the rollout of collaborative programs, and building on existing success with world-class institutions. This individual contributor role requires executing the partnership acquisition strategy, identifying new institutional opportunities, and adapting our proven partnership model to suit local markets. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure each partnership is successfully launched and nurtured. This is a fast-paced, mission-driven role with the opportunity to make a visible impact and grow leadership influence within a high-performing team. The role reports directly to the Director of University Partnerships and involves translating the global strategy into tangible regional outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or account management roles in the higher education sector (e.g. OPM, fee-for-service, alt-credential providers)
- Demonstrated success in securing partnerships with North American or European universities
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to position value and close complex institutional deals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior academic stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Undergraduate degree in business, education, law, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Execute the university partnership acquisition strategy across North America and Europe in alignment with the Director of University Partnerships
- Identify, pitch, and secure new institutional partners, adapting HyperionDevโs proven model to local and regional market needs
- Support the end-to-end rollout of new partnerships, ensuring alignment with internal teams across legal, product, delivery, and marketing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at universities, with a focus on long-term collaboration and value
- Monitor trends in higher education and the OPM/alternative credentials landscape to inform outreach and positioning
- Represent HyperionDev in external meetings, events, and partnership discussions with professionalism and clarity
- Report regularly on progress, challenges, and opportunities to the Director of University Partnerships and contribute to quarterly planning discussions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within an OPM, bootcamp, or alternative education provider
- Experience supporting or leading the launch of career-focused or tech education programs with universities
- Prior exposure to a high-growth, international, or startup environment
- Familiarity with higher education decision-making processes in North America and/or Europe
- Strong understanding of regional differences in university partnership models
