Summary

The Vice President of Retail will oversee and grow Mediaocean's Retail vertical, develop strategies for revenue growth, enhance client satisfaction, and lead an ancillary sales team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Retail industry with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within ad tech.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Retail industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the ad tech, media, creative or technology space. Direct client-side experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of the Retail industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • A deep understanding of media channel strategy/trends, with an emphasis on Video (Linear TV, CTV, OLV) and Social
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful business strategies, with a passion for developing high-impact presentations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making
  • Innovative thinker with a track record of driving growth and transformation
  • Experience working for matrix organizations and the ability to win support and drive deliverable timelines from key internal cross-functional teams
  • Proven success in a highly dynamic, constantly evolving environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and grow our Retail vertical within the ad tech space
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Retail vertical, aligning with overall company goals and market trends
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Retail sector
  • Drive revenue growth by developing and executing sales and marketing strategies tailored to the Retail industry
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing Retail clients
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities
  • Lead, mentor, and support an ancillary sales team of professionals
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure our solutions meet the specific needs of Retail clients
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in media as a thought leader in the intersection of Retail and ad tech
