Summary

Join KIPP Foundation as their Vice President of Transformation and play a pivotal role in executing the Foundation's 5-year strategy. You will report to the COO and lead a small transformation team, collaborating closely with senior leaders. This role requires significant experience in program/project management, leadership, and change management, along with a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required, advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in program or project management
  • 8+ Years of experience in a leadership role, directly or indirectly managing 2+ team members
  • Experience with learning and development, offering professional development, and/or adult coaching
  • Experience in large-scale change management, turnaround and restructurings, or related work
  • Strong strategic problem-solving, project and process supervision, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent relationship building, communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience in program governance, KPI development, and performance tracking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion the organization's transformation roadmap that will lead to actualization of the organization's long-term strategic priorities. Ensure these priorities are translated into actionable, repeatable processes and plans that align with the organization's vision with clear performance indicators and measurable impact
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Transformation Team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success and impact of transformation programs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to COO and senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to guide decision-making while ensuring alignment across priorities and initiatives
  • Lead innovation and the adoption of industry best practices in transformation management and process excellence within the team
  • Oversee project execution and governance, ensuring initiatives are high-quality, delivered on time and within scope
  • Quickly understand the current state by rapidly unpacking challenges, learning the culture, and moving to action with speed and clarity
  • Support the COO by building rubrics and processes to greenlight implementation plans, allocating resources and enhancing quality and productivity
  • Champion change management best practices, mitigating resistance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Communicate program strategies, progress, and results to Senior Leaders and key stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between senior leaders, KIPP Foundation leaders, regional leaders and transformation team to facilitate understanding and buy-in for transformation initiatives
  • Drive adoption of new tools, systems, and processes by integrating change management best practices into projects and operating procedures
  • Build, develop, and manage a high-performing transformation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and growth
  • Develop strong relationships with Foundation leaders and other stakeholders to achieve alignment, collaboration and capacity building
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure seamless adoption of project deliverables while minimizing disruption

Preferred Qualifications

Charter School Management or experience in a related field is a plus but not required
