Visiting Professor

Summary

Join Chamberlain College of Nursing as a Part-Time Online Visiting Professor and share your expertise in our MSN program. This 100% online teaching position offers incredible flexibility. We seek candidates with a passion for nursing education and a commitment to providing high-quality instruction. We provide thorough training through our New Faculty Orientation. The position requires certification as an FNP, a doctoral degree, and excellent communication skills. Compensation is competitive and varies based on experience and education.

Requirements

• Be certified as FNP by AANP or ANCC
• Have clinical experience as FNP with a strong background in primary adult care
• Have a DNP, PhD, EdD, or other relevant doctoral degree
• Possess an active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license (highly preferred)
• Have at least a temporary Illinois RN License or be willing to obtain one before May 2025
• Possess excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
• Be proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx/Teams (or similar platform), and the Internet, with a strong emphasis on Excel and the use of up to 4 interfaces: Canvas, Camsoft, iHuman, Metrics

Responsibilities

• Teach students in the MSN program
• Provide high-quality practitioner-focused education

Preferred Qualifications

Have an active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license
