Summary
Join our team as a skilled VoIP Integration Engineer! You will design, optimize, and oversee the implementation of our company's VoIP infrastructure, focusing on architecting scalable and reliable solutions. This role demands expertise in VoIP systems and protocols, integration practices, and addressing complex architectural challenges. You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop standards, and troubleshoot performance issues. Leading deployments of advanced VoIP features and evaluating emerging technologies are also key responsibilities. This is a fully remote position offering bi-weekly payments, paid vacation, and a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Proven expertise in VoIP architecture and system integration, including designing and implementing scalable solutions
- In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols (e.g., SIP, RTP, H.323) and their application in diverse environments
- Strong experience in unified communications platforms (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, Asterisk, Microsoft Teams)
- Familiarity with cloud-based VoIP solutions and platforms, preferably AWS or similar
- Advanced understanding of VoIP hardware and software, including PBX systems, softphones, and gateways
- Experience with system performance monitoring and optimization tools tailored for VoIP
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux-based environments and scripting for system automation
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on VoIP system security and reliability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with creating comprehensive VoIP architecture diagrams and system documentation
Responsibilities
- Design and implement VoIP system architecture, ensuring seamless integration with current network and telecommunication infrastructures
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into VoIP architecture solutions
- Develop and maintain standards, best practices, and documentation for VoIP architecture and integrations
- Configure, test, and optimize VoIP solutions, including hardware, software, and integrations with third-party systems
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot VoIP-related performance issues and provide effective resolutions
- Lead the deployment of advanced VoIP features such as call routing, call center solutions, and unified communications
- Evaluate emerging VoIP technologies and recommend improvements to enhance scalability and reliability
- Implement robust security measures to protect VoIP systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Train and mentor internal teams on VoIP architecture and integration practices
