VP, Community

Summary

Join XPRIZE Foundation as an experienced executive to co-lead the Community group within the Advancement team. This role focuses on fundraising from high-net-worth individuals and foundations. You will develop and implement strategies for growing the donor base, manage donor boards and communities, and build new fundraising events. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience, including executive-level fundraising roles, and a proven track record of meeting fundraising goals. Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including executive level roles in fundraising from individual donors
• Experience managing a fundraising target of up to $10M
• Track record of setting and achieving annual fundraising targets
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s/MBA preferred. May substitute significant experience on a year-for-year basis
• Experience with non-profit organizations is required
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with high net worth individuals is required; foundations preferred
• Strong business sense and the ability to set and manage to budget and forecasts
• Experience and track record in managing and developing a team, ideally in a non-profit environment
• History of working with boards and C-suite executives
• Strong business writing and professional verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive and think creatively and calmly in highly fluid situations and under intense schedules and deadlines
• Experience in creating and managing fundraising events
• Strong administrative and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for growing and cultivating the donor base
• Translate and execute XPRIZE’s strategic plan to team members in order to drive accountability and performance
• Expand the geographic footprint of XPRIZE’s benefactor community both domestically and internationally
• Identify and create new opportunities to engage donors with XPRIZE’s existing events and programs
• Build new and highly engaging fundraising events in conjunction with the XPRIZE events team
• Individually engage and sign on new donors
• Manage XPRIZE donor boards & communities
• Develop strategies and programs to measure and increase donor engagement and activation
• Create and cultivate a productive, balanced and rewarding working environment for members of the Community team
• Work in partnership with the Strategic Philanthropy team to further support XPRIZE fundraising goals
• Develop and manage to accurate forecasts for both team revenue and costs

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience in XPRIZE’s domains is preferred
• Experience using Salesforce is a plus

Benefits

• The anticipated base salary for this position is $180,000 to $200,000 and may also qualify for an annual incentive
