Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team
  • Strong strategic thinking and vision to develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with the startup's growth objectives. This includes an understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive, hands-on approach
  • Ability to thrive in an agile and fast-paced startup environment, wearing multiple hats, and being adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using data analytics to drive sales decisions, track performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Hubspot) and sales analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets
  • Setting ambitious yet achievable sales targets and KPIs to drive revenue growth across various product lines or regions
  • Work closely with the executive team to develop a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify new market opportunities and areas for expansion
  • Continuously refining and optimizing sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Generating sales forecasts, analyzing sales data, preparing regular reports, and presenting findings to the executive team
  • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and promote professional growth within the team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners. Understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to tailor solutions that meet their unique requirements
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure. Implement effective sales processes and tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in scaling sales and achieving revenue targets, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment
  • Experience in technology or SaaS sales, ideally within the tech startup ecosystem
