Summary

The VP People at CoLab will be responsible for building and scaling the organization and culture, owning recruitment and onboarding strategy, driving performance management, and leading a passionate people team. They should have experience leading and scaling a high-growth B2B software organization, developing people best practices, coaching SLT through complex problems, and having a strong background in operational best practices and recruitment initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and scaling a high-growth, rapid scale B2B software organization from early stages with remote and in-office employees
  • Demonstrated experience developing people best practices and programs in a growing organization
  • Experience coaching SLT through complex problems and difficult decisions
  • Strong background and knowledge in operational best practices and recruitment initiatives
  • Strong culture and values-focused leader who is able to drive performance culture
  • Problem solving expert - you aren’t afraid of difficult conversations and are able to lead and coach others through them with compassion
  • Operational machine - you have a high level of integrity and are able to tackle and execute complex scopes of work
  • A well-developed equity lens: you have an eye for inclusivity and don’t just accept equitable practices, you model and advocate for them on your teams and in your work
  • Thrives in a rapid, fast-paced environment where change is constant

Responsibilities

  • Build, drive, and own recruitment and onboarding strategy to find high performing A players who can ramp quickly
  • Collaborate with the SLT to drive company effectiveness through performance management
  • Own high priority internal people policies and procedures, including diversity, equity, and inclusion, career pathing, event management, training and development, total rewards, and retention
  • Lead, build, and coach a passionate and enthusiastic people team
  • Understand company goals and align people practices, programs, and initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Collaborate with SLT team members to drive corporate strategy, create OKRs, and define business priorities as we scale the business
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the SLT to solve difficult people problems with compassion and a people-first approach
