Summary

Join Olipop as the VP of Total Rewards & Engagement and play a pivotal role in developing and executing the company's People strategy. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead a team of HR professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will lead the design and implementation of a total rewards strategy, leverage data for efficient planning, and develop and implement people strategies aligned with business goals. You will also oversee vendor relationships, manage compensation and benefits plans, and develop strategies for succession planning and talent development. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, along with extensive experience in scaling People teams and managing compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience scaling People teams in a fast-growing organization
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams (reward, compensation, benefits function)
  • Experience with Gusto or similar HRIS system, end-to-end implementation experience preferred
  • Strong project management skills (especially in timely delivery, change management, and training)
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong leader with a track record of developing and maintaining high performing teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing third-party partners
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively cross-functionally with such finance, sales, and commercial teams
  • Proven leadership in setting strategic direction and driving operational excellence through hands-on execution
  • Ability to be agile and solution-minded while taking initiative in a highly dynamic environment
  • Strong understanding of US compensation and benefits laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements (e.g., FLSA, SEC, IRS, ERISA)

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop people operations team through clear guidance, active coaching and hands-on involvement to achieve scalability
  • Lead the design and implementation of a total rewards strategy, that aligns with business objectives, fosters a high-performance culture, and is fiscally responsible
  • Leverage data, to ensure planning and process efficiency, that informs decision making and people strategy development
  • Leading and developing People Operations, Recognition, and L&D functions within the organization
  • Drive operational excellence through developing and implementing effective people strategies that align to business goals
  • Develop and update People policies, employee handbooks, and company-wide guidelines
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits plans, policies, guidelines, procedures, and market trends to stay current with needs and opportunities
  • Oversee vendor and consultant relationships for compensation and benefits; negotiate services and manage costs within budget
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and refinement of Olipop’s Job Architecture structure, job descriptions, level definitions, etc
  • Develop and implement strategies for succession planning, talent development, and performance management by building and overseeing people projects and programs while driving performance and engagement
  • Develop and implement strategies for the training and development of managers and employees
  • Work with the Director of People Operations to design and implement strategies that enhance the People team's service delivery, create efficiencies, and improve the overall employee experience
  • Partner with IT to develop and implement ongoing People technology platforms strategy, roadmap, and improvements
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through engaging events and communications
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners and leadership stakeholders internally in developing and executing cohesive talent management programs and processes

Benefits

$210-240k base salary + bonus
