Web Administrator

Summary

Join our team as a Web Administration consultant and provide ongoing administration and support for our Web Hosting Service. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Linux operating system administration and web applications, with prior experience in System Administration and Linux operating system.

Requirements

• Prior experience in System Administration and Linux operating system
• Knowledge of Open-Source Web Servers like Nginx or Apache
• Experience with versioning systems (git)
• Ability to understand and write code in some scripting language: Bash, Python, PHP etc
• Cloud-Based services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Service Management methodologies (ITIL)
• Minimum 3 years working experience as Web Applications Administrator with a significant exposure to PHP, Java and/or Python
• Ability to distill complex problems and drive toward creative solutions
• Ability to interact with customers, ability to assess and gather customer requirements, comparing pros and cons, to propose best suited option and turn them into solution designs
• Willingness to learn on the job

Responsibilities

• Support the Unified Web Hosting Team on projects or ongoing support services
• Provide on-going administration and support for the Web Hosting Service

Preferred Qualifications

• CMSs: WordPress, Drupal, Moodle, Liferay
• Databases: MariaDB/MySQL, Postgres
• Load-balancing and proxy technologies including CDNs
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
