Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years professional web production, content creation, and copyediting experience
• Museum experience is a plus
• Fluent in digital content best practices
• Superb attention to detail
• Skilled writer and copyeditor
• Extremely organized, proactive, and efficient
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Image/photo editing (Adobe Suite)
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Experience working in Google Analytics
• Familiarity with web accessibility practices including writing alt text

Responsibilities

• Support the production of digital assets and content published on whitney.org
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across the Museum
• Maintain best practices for publishing on whitney.org and other digital platforms
• Develop and champion digital best practices and cross-department working methods across the institution
• Manage all web project boards and production timelines within the Museum’s project management software, Asana
• Copyedit all digitally published materials
• Utilize the Whitney’s custom Content Management System to design web page layouts that incorporate information hierarchies and optimal user experiences
• Plan and publish content to the Museum’s digital signage system
