Requirements

  • Proven experience working with WordPress, including theme and plugin customization
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., DigitalOcean)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and website optimization techniques
  • Experience with SEO research and analytics tools (i.e. ahrefs or Semrush)
  • Experience with website security best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain our WordPress websites, ensuring they are running smoothly, fast, and securely
  • Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines
  • Install, configure, and update themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and design
  • Implement security measures, monitor potential threats, and perform regular backups to safeguard data
  • Monitor website performance (speed, uptime) and optimize for better user experience and SEO
  • Diagnose and resolve website issues, including errors, broken links, and plugin conflicts
  • Work with marketing, design, and IT teams to ensure the website supports business goals, promotions, and campaigns
  • Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates using Google Analytics and other tools. Provide regular reports and insights
  • Ensure the website follows SEO best practices to enhance visibility and search engine rankings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of responsive design and mobile optimization
  • Familiarity with website performance tools (e.g., GTmetrix, Lighthouse)
  • Basic graphic design skills or experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop or Canva
  • Highly skilled in WordPress
