Join DEPT® as an Account Director and lead high-performing teams to deliver integrated marketing services for clients. This remote role, based within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA, requires strong client and employee relationship management skills. You will be responsible for overseeing multi-discipline collaboration, developing client strategies, and ensuring successful client onboarding. The ideal candidate possesses extensive paid social media experience, team management expertise, and a deep understanding of various marketing channels. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ paid social experience and a minimum 3 years of experience in a client-facing marketing role
- Have proven prior work experience managing a team of 3+ direct reports / team members and demonstrated ability to mentor and develop direct reports into more senior roles
- Have a deep understanding of Facebook Ads Manager and be skilled at effectively communicating paid social goals, targets, and direct-response tactics to clients and can get into the weeds when necessary
- Have the ability to audit an account and present actionable insights to a client
- Have the ability to provide feedback and strategic guidance to all paid media channels (search, social, shopping, display, mobile, native and video)
- Be able to hold your own talking growth strategy, SEO, CRO, analytics and measurement with marketing managers and C-Level executives alike
- Have experience acting as an escalation point for clients, evaluating team services levels and proposing improvements
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong understanding of the holistic business for each client in their portfolio - with insights on their competitors, overarching business goals, engagements with other agency partners, performance priorities, etc
- Orchestrate multi-discipline collaboration and implementation for flawless execution of full-funnel, cross-channel campaign strategy and activation. Serve as the holistic account leader responsible for managing client expectations and effectively setting CS and GS teams up for shared success
- Develop a deep working knowledge of Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, as well as a core understanding of Growth Services (Programmatic, Decision Sciences, Creative, SEO/CRO). Have a strategic perspective on how/when to utilize various channels and how they work together to help meet client business goals
- Stay up-to-date on all information disseminated across the agency from Growth Labs, Growth Teams, Qontrol, and Operations to ensure their track is adopting best practices and testing recommendations prioritized by the agency
- Serve as a point of escalation for all clients within your portfolio - understanding when to step-in with a client, coach the team on any processes/next steps to mitigate issues, determine what ancillary services/teams should be pulled in, or navigate solutions with legal/finance, etc
- Manage all major deliverables and presentations for your client portfolio (executive presentations, FBRs/QBRs, annual review, in-person strategy meetings, etc) to ensure activation teams across the board (media and growth) are delivering high-quality, innovative strategy - with a consistent storyline to push the client’s business and goals forward
- Ensure successful onboarding of all new clients within your track - overseeing initial overarching strategy, account management/collaboration process is set up for success, and client interactions and performance are off to a healthy start
- Successfully scale layers of management and ensure career pathing/goals are being established for every member of your team
- Identify succession plans for your team and cultivate talent development for upward mobility
Preferred Qualifications
- Have the ability to identify upsell opportunities across all agency offerings and execute on those opportunities to grow revenue on existing clients
- Be skilled at effectively communicating/teaching optimization tasks to multiple team members at once and have past experience managing managers
- Have a successful track record of crafting and participating in sales pitches and audits
- Have proven prior work experience managing a P&L and hitting margin targets
