Join Nava Benefits as an Account Executive and lead strategic initiatives for a growing book of business on our west coast team. You will oversee large national clients, leading annual service plan execution, renewal strategy, and long-term strategic planning. Partnering with other departments, you will bolster Navaβs strategic capabilities to deliver novel benefit solutions. This remote position, preferably based in California, requires 15+ years of employee benefits experience with a brokerage and managing large employer groups. You will need strong analytical and communication skills, and a California Health Insurance License. Requirements
- Experience: 15+ years of employee benefits experience with a brokerage; Recent experience independently managing accounts with minimal guidance A track record of supporting large California employer groups (150-2000 lives)
- Expertise: A strong command of large group plans and products; Strong knowledge of financial arrangements including fully insured, level & self funded, captives
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead complex client engagements and mentor junior colleagues
- Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining executive-level relationships as a trusted advisor
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, with the ability to design innovative funding strategies
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and present client deliverables effectively
- Education & Licensing: A bachelor's degree in a related field; California Health Insurance License required
Responsibilities
- Own the Outcome of Your Book of Business: Manage a portfolio of employer groups, collaborating with Partners, Client Managers and Benefits Analysts to manage the service needs of your clients throughout the plan year
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead annual service plan execution, renewal strategy, and long-term strategic planning
- Innovate Funding Strategies: Design innovative benefit strategies based on knowledge of the market, carriers and products, including understanding of alternative funding arrangements
- Create and Present Client Deliverables: Contribute to the creation and presentation of client deliverables such as financial reporting, finalist/renewal presentations, budget reviews, etc
- Enhance Strategic Capabilities: Partner with members of the client success, revenue, and operations departments to bolster Navaβs strategic capabilities and deliver novel benefit solutions
- Develop and Mentor: Actively develop and mentor junior-level colleagues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
- Manage Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring high client satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
This is a remote position but preferred candidates will be based in California and possess California employee benefits market knowledge as well as recent experience managing large employer groups (100-5,000 lives)
