Summary

Join C.A. Fortune, a leading consumer brands agency, as a remote Sales Representative based in St. Louis, MO. You will connect our brands with the independent market, managing relationships and elevating brand presence. The role requires creating and executing sales plans, meeting with customers, building relationships, and maintaining communication. You will collaborate with internal departments and attend industry events. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with St. Louis retailers and a passion for consumer packaged goods. Requirements

  • 2+ years experience working with St. Louis, MO retailers at a headquarter level, OR intimate understanding of the end-to-end promotional planning and category review processes
  • Sales experience with a passion for consumer packaged goods, food, and beverage
  • Thick skin when having a sale rejected, and active listening skills to reframe the sale for the next approach
  • Concise communication skills, and creativity when breaking through communication blockages
  • Willingness to get into stores regularly for intelligence gathering, including but not limited to snapping proof-of-performance & planogram photos, performing price analyses, and informing stores of upcoming promotions or product launches
  • Proficient with all necessary computer-based programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a regional or account specific sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports company revenue and profit targets
  • Meet regularly with existing customers to understand their evolving business needs and position product solutions to address those needs, provide all maintenance, new item submissions, promotional support, etc
  • Build long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers & clients
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and clients and be available and responsive to their real-time needs
  • Work effectively/professionally with company’s internal departments (Client Partnership Managers, Marketing, Insights, Client Services, Business Support Specialists & Accounts Receivable), assuring elite management of our clients and customers businesses
  • Attend all required national trade shows, market specific sales meetings, client specific sales meetings, or any other necessary functions (established by your supervisor)
  • Approach ALL aspects of the role with a winning, β€œcan-do,” positive, progressive, solution-based mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Category Management
  • Experience with Schnucks, Dierbergs, AWG and/or KeHE Distributing
