Summary

Join Rand Simulation, a division of Rand Worldwide, as a tenacious Account Manager focused on profitable sales growth of ANSYS engineering simulation software. This remote role, based in Los Angeles, CA, requires managing all sales activities, from lead generation to closing, for new and existing clients across the West Coast. You will build and maintain strong client relationships, create compelling sales presentations, and accurately forecast sales. Success in this position demands proven sales experience, a deep understanding of engineering analysis, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent
  • Have 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrate an understanding of engineering analysis and technology
  • Possess the ability to diagnose business needs before prescribing technical solutions
  • Be naturally curious with a passion for making connections
  • Have the ability and willingness to connect and sell comfortably at VP and C-levels
  • Demonstrate unwavering persistence, tenacity, and creativity in prospecting (phone/email/social)
  • Possess excellent communication, written and organizational skills
  • Have a desire to perform all interactions with integrity, respect and transparency while maintaining a high sense of urgency
  • Be fluent in SalesForce.com and LinkedIn

Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales activities from lead generation through close for new and renewal ANSYS software and simulation consulting business
  • Lead client and prospect interactions throughout the buying process to ensure proper qualification, needs assessment, differentiation, ROI, and a smooth implementation
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor to develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients across all levels of the organization
  • Create and deliver sales presentations that match solution offerings with identified needs while securing stakeholder endorsement
  • Perform ongoing nurturing and client satisfaction to ensure competitive insulation and identification of new value-added solutions
  • Identify, research, and connect with prospective clients to maintain a high volume of sales activity and pipeline for achieving sales objectives
  • Coordinate sales efforts and campaigns with sales leadership, marketing, engineering, and accounting for a streamlined process and tactical execution of strategic planning
  • Accurately forecast product sales, renewal revenues and consulting services
  • Efficiently leverage SalesForce.com CRM to manage and track all activities related to sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with engineering to communicate sales objectives, level-set expectations and relay clientsโ€™ technical feedback
