Summary

Join Mintel China as an Account Manager for Professional Services and accelerate business growth, focusing on agency, retail, academic, home appliance, and tech clients. You will be responsible for achieving commercial targets, collaborating with the client success team for retention and growth, and planning portfolio expansion. The role involves developing client relationships, identifying needs, preparing proposals, supporting business development, and implementing strategies to showcase Mintel's value. You will need to maintain accurate portfolio forecasts and work closely with the BD Director. Requirements

  • Commercially-minded : You have a proven track record of delivering return on investment and achieving sales targets both individually and when leading a team
  • Client-Obsessed : You actively join your team’s client meetings to speak with and listen to clients, and consistently have clients talk to the company about what is and is not working. You network at the highest possible levels with clients to help your team to ensure there is appropriate executive engagement
  • Great communicator : You have extremely polished verbal and written communication skills, and can adapt your communication style to suit each client, your team, and across teams
  • Short and long-term focused : You have an understanding of the immediacy of winning this month’s team sales results while making the appropriate adjustments to ensure the same for the next 6-12 months
  • Creative problem-solver : You are able to identify complex problems based on a broad range of factors. You also are able to develop & implement optimal solutions. You establish key results, you track learnings and you embrace continuous improvement
  • A Practitioner: You should have at least 3 years of individual sales/account management success, with a focus on new business development, a track record of selling consultancy solutions to the C-suite, as well as a rooted connection within the retail sector. You possess and apply practical and technical skills, knowledge, and experience related to sales and customer services

Responsibilities

  • Planning the growth of the assigned portfolio and managing a pipeline of growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospects’ decision-makers and major influencers
  • Needs finding. Identify, and understand the client’s business objectives and work with the client success team to ensure that our support delivers on client objectives
  • Closing the deals. Prepare proposals for partnership reviews and renewals for clients
  • Support BD Director for boosting new business development, incl. Ensure meeting activity levels (prospecting calls, qualified meetings, presentations & proposal submissions) are met or exceeded. Assisting BD team with growing relationships at senior levels using excellent communication skills, strong follow-ups
  • Implement all necessary strategies and skills to demonstrate and secure Mintel’s value
  • Ensure healthy and accurate forecast of your portfolio
