Join our client's team as an Account Manager and contribute to their innovative PR platform. You will conceptualize and execute creative media relations strategies for diverse clients, crafting compelling pitches and managing communications. This role demands strong writing, data analysis, and client management skills, with a focus on achieving impactful media coverage. The position is 100% remote and offers a part-time schedule with an hourly rate of $30-$40. You will work with a lean, remote team, leveraging tools like Slack for efficient communication. Success in this role requires a proven track record in media relations and a passion for the PR industry.
Requirements
- Significant experience with developing media lists using industry standard media databases, preferably Muck Rack
- Experience reporting and interpreting campaign results and media coverage
- Experience in account management and keeping clients happy
- Experience writing compelling pitches that reporters can't help but open and read
- 3+ years of experience in tech, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, wellness, CPG, food & beverage, or other general B2C media relations
- Comfort working with a lean, remote account team and deep familiarity with efficiency/communication tools like Slack
- Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Recent experience working directly with clients in dynamic situations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Tech-savviness (love getting hands dirty with new apps/tech and always looking for a better way to do things)
- Data-driven approach (superb Excel skills and ability to analyze email campaign performance)
- Strong storytelling, media relations and copywriting skills
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and drive highly appealing and creative media relations for clients
- Develop media lists
- Craft persuasive media pitches
- Send media pitches to the media on behalf of clients
- Handle day-to-day communications with clients and media
- Stay on track of client deliverables
- Follow processes and merchandize coverage
- Translate clientβs business and marketing needs to PR strategy and tactics
- Generate media outreach ideas for client campaigns
