Summary
Join 500 Global, a venture capital firm, as an Accountant and play a key role in managing the full-cycle accounts receivable, overseeing revenue recognition, maintaining the general ledger, and executing month-end close procedures. You will reconcile account balances and bank statements, collaborate cross-functionally to drive automation and process improvements, and ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 4 or more years of experience with Accounts Payable/Receivable and general accounting. Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging Report and track customer collections
- Process and send customer invoices via email or customer portals
- Update reports related to collection activities and ensure departmental KPIs are met
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Prepare intercompany account reconciliations, consolidations, and eliminations
- Manage SVB credit card expense review and processing
- Provide monthly Market Launch Profit and Loss reports to Program Managers and ensure accurate cost adjustments in NetSuite
- Support the month-end closing process for AR and Market Launch activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines
- Assist in revenue recognition reconciliation against deferred revenue
- Contribute to year-end close and audit processes
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues
- Participate in ad-hoc projects for process improvement and system implementations
