Accountant

Summary

Join EcoVadis' Finance department and contribute to efficient and effective operations supporting sustainable business practices. Book accounts payable (AP) documents and expense claims, monitor invoice payments, and manage bank statements. You will also reply to vendor requests, clear AP accounts, prepare journal entries, participate in month-end closings, and cooperate with external accountants. This role requires 4 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Polish and English, and strong time management and communication skills. Requirements

• 4 years of professional experience in accounting
• Good Polish & English is required
• Time management skills and discipline (accuracy and organizational skills are essential)
• Good communication & interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Book AP (purchase documents) and expense claims for EV entities (Polish & foreign ones)
• Monitor invoice payment deadlines, prepare & control the execution of payments
• Book bank statements (received and outgoing payments)
• Reply to Vendor requests
• Clear AP accounts and follow-up AP open items
• Prepare and book journal entries including (but not limited to) prepayments, cash reports, accruals
• Participating in month-end closings & GL activities
• Cooperation with External Accountants
• Helping with ad hoc requests

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic background (educational background in accounting or economics would be an advantage)
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), ERP experience would be an advantage
• Experience in working in an accounting office/knowledge of Polish GAAP accounting will be an additional asset
