Accounting Associate

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to manage various accounting functions and ensure the accuracy of financial data in our finance department. This position will involve day-to-day accounting tasks, strategic financial analysis, and reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3-5 years working experience in a finance environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, as well as accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Fluency in English (Written and Verbal)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform analysis of the budget to actual results and prepare a report with the findings
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
• Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor inquiries
• Monitor and administer compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed
• Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned
