Summary

Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in general accounting functions
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage data and create reports
- Analytical Thinking: Solid problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy in financial data
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to liaise appropriately with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Self-Motivation: Able to take ownership of tasks, work autonomously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the accounting and financial function
Responsibilities
- Support Monthly Accounting Processes: Help the accounting team monthly by providing important documentation and data. Investigate and resolve unclear items. Ensure financial statements are accurate and reflect our business activities. Closely monitor and document our hardware manufacturing orders and inventory to map out cash flow implications and make this translatable to the financials for month-end close
- Track shipments and installations of hardware at client sites on a weekly basis to understand the monthly cost of goods sold
- Working with accounting on expense categories, ensuring expenses are categorized appropriately and taking ownership to discuss new categories that should be created to have higher fidelity financials
- Uphold and Maintain Compliance Practices: Work closely on audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related matters to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Keep detailed records of invoices, receipts, and communications to support audits and financial reporting
- Manage Accounts Receivables: Take care of billing, monitor unpaid bills, and follow up to collect payments promptly, all while maintaining positive relationships with clients. Collaborate with sales and customer success to scope timing of invoices
- Work with sales and customer success to identify client AP stakeholders and cultivate those relationships to create a more streamlined AR process
- Support the transition from traditional check payments to ACH (Automated Clearing House) systems to enhance efficiency and reduce processing times
- Oversee Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and ensure timely and accurate disbursements in alignment with company policies. Regularly reconcile AR and AP accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues to maintain accurate financial records
