Accounting Associate

Summary

Join Pivot Energy as a part-time Accounting Associate to support corporate compliance and accounts payable duties, with potential conversion to full-time in 2025.

Requirements

• 2+ years professional experience in administration or accounting
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Sage Intacct or equivalent accounting software
• Self-starter with strong self-motivation and a proven capacity to work in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Must be detail-oriented with hands-on execution capability

Responsibilities

• Lead in the compliance of the company’s entities (500+) including articles of organization, operating agreements, W9, and tax ID numbers
• Coordinate with the company’s registered agent to keep entities up-to-date
• Research and implement a software system to manage the company’s entities
• Research and process any tax notices such as sales and use tax, property tax, and income tax
• Assist Accounts Payable with payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Assist the Accounting team with special projects as needed
