Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems
  • Experience in leading month-end close processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

  • Manage Month-End Close and Financial Reporting
  • Oversee and execute the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing management with clear and actionable insights
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded
  • Analyze P&L account variations and expense fluctuations month-over-month to identify trends and provide recommendations
  • Maintain the General Ledger
  • Accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Ensure transactions are recorded correctly and maintain the general ledger according to GAAP standards
  • Ensure Tax Compliance
  • Oversee compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax preparation
  • Collaborate with external tax consultants and auditors as needed
  • Manage Intercompany Transactions
  • Oversee intercompany recharges, ensuring proper allocation and documentation of costs across entities
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations to validate balances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Develop and Enforce Internal Controls
  • Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data accuracy
  • Conduct regular reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly
  • Develop an open items follow-up process to track outstanding issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Provide visibility to management regarding process inefficiencies or system issues, offering recommendations for improvements
  • Support Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with other departments to align accounting processes with company objectives
  • Provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
  • Document and Maintain Financial Records
  • Maintain historical financial records by filing documents and assisting with administrative projects as needed
  • Ensure proper documentation of processes for audit and compliance purposes

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • NetSuite experience
