Summary

Join our dynamic, mission-driven global education organization as an International Accounting Manager. You will oversee the financial operations of our international entities, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, analyzing complex financial data, coordinating month-end close processes, and preparing reports. You will collaborate with accounting teams across multiple countries and provide guidance on financial policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in international finance, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and 5+ years of experience in international finance and consolidation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on international finance and consolidation
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and local regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and time zones
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze financial statements from international entities to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards
  • Identify discrepancies and work with local accounting personnel to resolve any issues
  • Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial reporting is accurate
  • Review monthly roll forwards and reconciliations
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate financial performance to management
  • Liaise with local accounting teams to provide guidance and support on financial reporting and compliance matters
  • Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to align financial forecasts with actual performance and assist in budgeting processes
  • Regularly communicate with the Senior Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting to provide updates on international financial performance and key issues
  • Assist in preparing presentations for senior management, highlighting financial insights and recommendations
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency across international operations
  • Implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Great Plains
