Summary

Join a top-20 accounting and business consulting firm as an Accounting Manager. This remote, full-time position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, providing strategic financial management and technical accounting expertise. You will plan and direct accounting services, ensure compliance with US GAAP, develop accounting systems, and conduct financial statement reviews. The role also involves client liaison, business development support, staff mentoring, and new client onboarding. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in all facets of accounting and finance, including GL, AP, AR, PR, budgeting/forecasting, and reconciliations
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills with proficiency in financial reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex operating agreements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with precise deadlines and deliverables
  • Proficiency in multiple accounting software systems, including QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Bill, Ramp, Expensify, etc. (certifications preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate with clients and financial management outsourcing staff to ensure timely and accurate monthly finance and accounting services
  • Provide technical expertise for US GAAP requirements and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of accounting systems to optimize financial management operations across various industries
  • Conduct detailed reviews of periodic client-use financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Act as a liaison on behalf of clients with external auditors and internal decision-makers
  • Foster proactive working relationships with clients and cross-functional departments to ensure the timely and accurate receipt of financial information
  • Support business development efforts by participating in prospect meetings, calculating pricing, and drafting engagement letters
  • Guide and oversee the onboarding of new clients, including training clients and staff, allocating resources, and managing client work assignments
  • Mentor and develop staff consultants and senior consultants by actively engaging with them as their Performance Coach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in setting up and implementing accounting systems and procedures
  • CPA or CMA license preferred
