Summary
Join Unlock Health as an Accounting Manager and oversee all aspects of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will prepare and analyze financial statements, manage day-to-day operations, coordinate audits, and supervise accounting staff. The role requires collaboration with other departments to support business objectives. Ideal candidates possess a Bachelorโs degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification (preferred), 5+ years of accounting experience, and 2+ years of management experience. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of management experience
- Purchase account experience
- M&A experience
- Proven experience (~5+ years) in accounting or finance roles
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP/IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle - NetSuite) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders, management, and external parties such as investors and regulatory authorities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations
- Coordinate annual audits and reviews with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary adjustments
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the accounting department
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business planning
- Identify areas for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and process improvement
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to support business objectives and resolve financial issues
