Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the financial services industry and regulated entities
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the Group of companies (including companies in the UK and Cyprus)
  • Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and handle general ledger entries
  • Conduct monthly and daily reconciliations, including bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial analyses to support decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll for Cyprus, United Kingdom and Greece
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of financial reports to various regulators in the EU and UK, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and deadlines
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related filings
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
  • Support the finance team with various financial projects and tasks as needed
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, ACA)
  • Experience with regulatory reporting in the EU and UK financial sectors
  • Proficiency in Greek
