Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in accounts payable
• Solid grasp of GAAP principles
• Expertise in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Proficient in Google Suite, Excel, QuickBooks, and various HRIS platforms
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Personable, professional, and respectful in all written and verbal communications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all transactions
• Accurately process business invoices and credit card transactions to ensure prompt, precise payments
• Develop and sustain strong vendor relationships, facilitating seamless and effective operations
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of expenses, transactions, and vendor documentation
• Process and prepare payments for a team of over 40 contractors (1099), ensuring consistency and compliance
• Play a key role in cost control, actively managing budgets, and identifying opportunities for savings
• Apply organizational policies and GAAP standards rigorously to ensure all entries meet compliance standards
• Continuously seek efficiencies, contributing to and implementing impactful process improvements
• Analyze financial data to uncover growth opportunities and enhance operational effectiveness
• Serve as backup support for payroll processing in the Payroll Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes to support seamless financial reporting
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic environment
