Accounts Receivable Accountant

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero, ERP Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions in English

Responsibilities

• Generate and issue accurate, timely invoices while ensuring compliance with billing standards
• Monitor customer accounts, follow up on delayed payments, and lead collection efforts to reduce outstanding debts
• Collaborate with Project Managers to track project-related receivables, including retentions and billing milestones
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly, resolve discrepancies efficiently, and support month-end close processes
• Prepare and deliver detailed accounts receivable reports to management, highlighting key trends and concerns
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure smooth payment transactions and resolve billing disputes
• Conduct credit assessments, perform credit checks, and support credit application reviews
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and financial regulations, supporting internal audit requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency across accounts receivable functions
• Actively collaborate with internal teams to support business goals, demonstrate accountability, and enhance customer satisfaction
