Summary

Blue Acorn iCi is a digital consultancy that specializes in delivering innovative solutions across customer experience, commerce, and data. The AEM Technical Architect is expected to provide senior technical leadership on multiple complex Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) projects, analyze technical requirements, define integration points between AEM and other systems, develop architectural roadmaps, lead technical deep dives, and configure web content management solutions using AEM and related technologies. They must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the development industry, at least 5 years of web content management system experience with Adobe Experience Manager version 6.0 or above, strong Java/J2EE/JSP experience, and working knowledge of various technologies. Preferred skills include AEM Developer or Architect certification and additional technical certifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience in the development industry
• 5+ years of web content management system experience working with one or more CMS packages, including Adobe Experience Manager version 6.0 or above (version 6.5 a plus)
• Web portal back-end development experience
• Strong Java/J2EE/JSP experience – minimum of 5 years developing large system applications
• Working knowledge and understanding of the following: JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting stringent deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide the most senior technical leadership on multiple, diverse and complex Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) projects simultaneously
• Analyze the technical requirements of enterprise scale projects based on business requirements received from multiple client departments
• Define all integration points between AEM and whatever enterprise systems are found within a client technology ecosystem
• Lead technical deep dives and troubleshooting exercises for client AEM implementations both with the company's resources and clients' experts
• Develop, implement, and configure web content management solutions using AEM and technologies such as Java, HTML/DHTML, XML, JavaScript, and web services
• Assist clients in achieving strategic objectives through technology solution implementation
• Setup and configuration of AEM development environments
• Setup and configuration of AEM Author and Publish instances and ensuring all code works in both environments
• Translate business requirements into technical details relevant to AEM
• Ensure quality of code is high for themselves and other team members
• Designing reusable AEM components for authoring content
• Understand the client’s technical environment and how they use technology to provide the best, focused advice
• Provide input into estimating engagement activities and execute engagements following the Agile methodology including SCRUM
