Summary

Join Column, a bank and software company, as a KYC Ops role to safeguard the Bank from financial crimes and ensure compliance with AML and Sanctions regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CAMS) is preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in AML compliance, specifically KYC; experience in an execution role required
  • Quality control/testing within a financial institutionโ€™s AML Compliance program preferred
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent writing skills
  • In-depth knowledge of AML laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in AML software and data analysis tools

Responsibilities

  • Execute the collection, review, and reconciliation of CIP and CDD information consistent with the Bankโ€™s standards and customer risk ranking methodology
  • Quality Control: You will execute quality control oversight of the Bankโ€™s customer onboarding. This includes detailed review of CIP, CDD, and EDD (where relevant) to confirm customer files satisfy all applicable requirements
  • Onboarding Management: End-to-end ownership of the customer file, including its compilation, tracking, reporting, and completion
  • Strategy and Planning : Develop and execute a risk-based Quality Control plan, ensuring that it covers all critical aspects of KYC, including CIP, customer due diligence, and EDD
  • Collaboration : Work closely with members of the BSA/AML Compliance and Growth teams to ensure all customers have accurate, complete, and up-to-date customer files
  • Training and Development : Provide training to team members based on themes that emerge from control reviews
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements within the Bankโ€™s KYC and onboarding process
