Apprentice - Facilities Management

Summary

Join AES as an Apprentice Airport Facilities Management Supervisor L3 to complete a 3-year apprenticeship at Stansted Airport, working with Ryanair. The role involves supporting and coordinating facilities management services, including basic H&S checks, problem-solving, maintaining the site in good condition, collaborating with contractors, managing onsite issues, arranging and overseeing maintenance works, keeping accurate records, and assisting with small to medium projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the delivery of facilities management services
• Perform basic H&S checks
• Solve day-to-day problems to ensure the facilities management service runs smoothly
• Maintain the site in a good state of repair and appearance
• Work collaboratively with contractors
• Manage onsite issues and communicate with relevant departments/personnel when necessary
• Arrange and oversee any alterations, redecoration, building, and maintenance works
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all statutory maintenance undertaken across the building
• Ensure work is completed by the building’s in-house team and appointed contractors on time and as per H&S regulations
• Assist the Facilities Manager with small to medium projects
• Assist the Facilities Manager in obtaining quotes
• Assist with the production and management of the estates team roster, holidays, overtime, and planned absences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of working in an administrative capacity (in a premises/facilities environment, desirable)
• Experience of maintaining accurate records
