Summary

Join CVRx, a healthcare pioneer, as an Area Sales Director in the New York City metro area. This remote position leads a commercial sales team, driving growth and exceeding regional goals. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 10 years of MedTech sales leadership experience, a strong understanding of implantable medical devices, and excellent interpersonal skills. Requirements

  • BS in health sciences, engineering, or business or related field, or a combination of professional experience and education will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading a successful, distributed commercial sales team in MedTech or Medical Device OEM
  • Demonstrable ability to motivate a teams and to drive results
  • 5+ years experience in direct or indirect use of implantable (Class III) medical devices (e.g., in cath lab, in clinical monitoring) or other relevant field experience within the medical device field. Experience with products for cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices is highly desired
  • Knowledge of the specific opening's regional medical device landscape with implantable (Class III) devices, market dynamics, competition, pricing strategy, therapy awareness, etc
  • Keen interpersonal skills and self-awareness with key customer groups (physicians and staff, CVRx clinical and engineering staff) in order to clearly and succinctly demonstrate and explain product therapy
  • Proven relationship development with customers in the cardiology and/or cardiac surgery area
  • Ability to proficiently make group presentations, follow-up, and in-service visits
  • Understanding and ability to conduct clinical, site and physician training
  • Ability to answer technical questions related to tips, techniques, and help physicians with problem solving during cases
  • Knowledge of market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, and advantages/disadvantages as they relate to CVRx’s devices
  • Ability to interact with research and development to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements and new product development
  • Enviable planning and time management skills
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, as well as interpret clinical data, issues, and feedback

  • Ability to see both the short- and long-term vision of the company and products
  • Able to travel up to 75%
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid U.S. ID for domestic travel

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages activities of all commercial field employees within the region of responsibility. Ensures necessary support is available for commercial sites
  • Identifies commercial accounts that will perform to the highest standards of quality and contribute to the successful adoption of CVRx’s therapy in the marketplace by leveraging data insights
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key site personnel including implanters, referring physicians, and administrators
  • Models adherence to sales management processes and reporting systems usage to ensure disciplined implementation of commercial strategy for assigned area. Ensures team is maintaining an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce
  • Works with commercial field employees to provide technical support for implants and follow-up activities for commercial accounts
  • Participates in targeting and profiling potential customers for CVRx’s devices
  • Presents and discusses CVRx’s devices with leading electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, internists, general practitioners, and vascular/cardiothoracic surgeons to ensure their understanding of the therapy
  • Models adherence to sales management processes and reporting systems usage to ensure disciplined implementation of commercial strategy for assigned area. Ensures team maintains an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce
  • Participates/facilitates training programs to ensure that objectives are met
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced degree is desired
  • Healthcare experience beneficial
  • Knowledge of heart failure or cardiovascular market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, advantages/disadvantages as they relate to the company’s devices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce, with the demonstrated ability to quickly learn content management, learning management and other systems as needed
  • Ability to interact with R&D to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements and new product development

  • Salary range for U.S locations (USD): 150,000 per year
  • In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a variable Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) which provides the opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your specific objectives
