Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in art outsourcing for games, film, or animation, with a proven track record of successfully managing outsourced art projects
- Strong understanding of 3D art production pipelines and workflows, along with familiarity with various art styles and techniques
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly articulate feedback and expectations
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in project management tools like Trello or Jira
- A keen eye for quality assurance, with the ability to maintain high standards and address issues proactively
- A genuine passion for digital avatars, gaming, and emerging technologies such as collectibles and virtual worlds
Responsibilities
- Communicate daily with external art vendors to ensure smooth collaboration
- Review and provide feedback on art assets to maintain quality
- Track project progress and manage deadlines consistently
- Negotiate project scope and pricing on a weekly basis
- Onboard new vendors periodically (monthly or quarterly)
- Research and implement new pipeline tools as needed (typically quarterly)
- Troubleshoot production challenges whenever they arise
- Collaborate with internal art directors on style guides to uphold artistic standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Have an understanding and knowledge of digital collectibles and Web3 standards and necessities
- Have experience working in a startup or scaleup environment
- Love to play games and understand gaming culture
