Summary

Join ProSidian as an ASL Interpreter! This role involves providing in-person and remote American Sign Language interpretation in various government settings. You will ensure effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of professional interpreting experience, along with RID certification or equivalent. Requirements

  • Certified ASL Interpreter with credentials from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or equivalent
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience
  • Fluency in ASL
  • Strong understanding of deaf culture

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in ASL, Linguistics, or related field
  • Experience in government or legal settings
  • Advanced skills with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio
  • Ability to quickly learn other tools, as necessary
