Summary
Join IXL Learning as an Assessment Specialist on our Professional Learning team! As a trusted expert in K-12 assessment trends, you will empower schools and districts to utilize IXL's assessment suite effectively. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure districts receive necessary tools and support. This full-time remote position (US-based) requires expertise in K-12 assessment usage and data analysis to drive student achievement. The ideal candidate is strategic, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Domestic travel (up to 40%) is required for professional development and meetings.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- Experience as a Director of Assessment, or comparable role, at the district or state level
- Expertise in educational assessments, including diagnostics, benchmarks, universal screeners, and common assessments
- Experience implementing a variety of assessments at the district, county, or state level
- Demonstrated passion and expertise in analyzing data, interpreting insights, and developing strategic plans to drive outcomes
- Educational professional development experience
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic, enthusiastic, upbeat individual who connects well with others and has a positive, collaborative attitude
- Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, from start to finish
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Self-starter and quick learner with a passion for improving education through technology
- Strategic thinker and problem-solver
- Must live close to a major airport
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to create assessment resources
- Serve as a consultant to districts implementing IXLβs assessments
- Support internal teams in deepening their knowledge of assessments and data
- Deliver high-quality live and virtual professional development sessions to customers to drive customer engagement and usage of IXL
- Travel domestically to deliver professional development and meet with district leaders β up to 40% possible travel
- Use data to drive decision-making and strategize next steps
- Support district and state-level sales opportunities as needed
