Summary

Join Climate Power, a strategic communications organization, as a temporary Tier Associate to support our mobilization efforts until July 31, 2026. This entry-level position involves creating engaging email, SMS, and landing page content to grow our grassroots audiences. You will maintain content calendars, track analytics, and ensure quality assurance for all communications. The role also includes managing subscriber data, responding to public inquiries, and preparing content for rapid response moments. This is a full-time, hourly position offering a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits. The position is remote-first, based in Washington, DC, but can be located anywhere in the US.

Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant prior work experience in copywriting and/or email marketing
  • Must be able to work independently, but also collaboratively with diverse groups of people, communities, and partners or vendors
  • Ability to reflect on what’s working and what isn’t and pivot in response to data analytics
  • Willingness to stay up to date on best practices and trends relative to the work and projects in their purview
  • Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and shift on a dime
  • Exceptional team player and effective communicator—both written and oral
  • Ability to be a proactive self-starter, working independently to ideate and move work forward to successful completion
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (particularly Sheets and Docs)

Responsibilities

  • Work with Mobilization Director to plan, draft, build compelling email (Action Network), SMS (Mobile Commons), landing pages (WordPress), and calls to action that set the climate narrative while engaging, activating, and growing our grassroots audiences
  • Maintain content calendar to ensure email and SMS deliverables stay on schedule
  • Track and report on email and SMS analytics to put findings into practice for upcoming messages
  • Drive Quality Assurance process (proofreading and testing) to make sure every message we send and action we build is technically, grammatically, and functionally correct
  • Ensure accuracy of subscriber data and targeting in both CRMs, and pull lists for targeting and reporting
  • Handle public responses to our shared Google group inbox and reply to incoming messages
  • Prepare content and calls to action for known upcoming rapid response moments and respond to unknown ones as they come up

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of relevant political, campaign, non-profit, or government experience preferred
