Requirements
- Admitted to practice in England and Wales
- Must live in the UK or Northern Ireland
- At least 5-7 years post qualification experience (PQE)
- A mix of law firm and in-house experience
- Experience working with U.S. stakeholders and/or at a U.S.-based company
- SaaS/software contract management, review, and negotiation experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanour
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects/large workloads, and keep deadlines
- Exceptional business judgement, analytical skills, and critical thinking with demonstrated success working as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Keen awareness of risk and compliance strategies
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated
- Unquestionable professional ethics and integrity
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate, draft, and approve various customer and vendor contracts covering a range of transactions in EMEA and the US
- Provide specialised insight and training to internal stakeholders on issues related to EMEA-specific privacy regulations and data security, intellectual property, corporate governance, and/or employment
- Partner with various departments (e.g., human resources) to advise on legal issues and draft/update company policies as they relate to EMEA
- Review, negotiate and draft employment contracts, analyse employment and compensation-related issues and mutual separation/exit agreements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in counseling on UK/EU privacy laws is preferred
- Experience in counseling on labour and employment issues is a plus
