Summary

Join Team Rubicon's Brand & Communications team as an Associate, Social Media! You will support and execute the social media strategy, building brand awareness, engaging volunteers, and driving donor acquisition. Daily responsibilities include managing social media activities, monitoring engagement, and ensuring brand consistency. You will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance TR's digital presence and optimize content performance. This role requires a detail-oriented communicator with social media management, audience engagement, and performance tracking experience. The position is remote, based anywhere in the US, and reports to the Director, Brand. Team Rubicon is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response, offering many opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand, nonprofit, or organization
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and engagement strategies
  • Experience using social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to analyze social media performance and make data-driven recommendations
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with experience adapting content for different platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • This is a full-time ; REMOTE position based anywhere within the United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
  • Up to 2 0 % non-local travel required to support field operations, media events, and organizational storytelling

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily social media operations, including scheduling, posting, and monitoring engagement across platforms
  • Engage with TRโ€™s online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in alignment with brand voice and guidelines
  • Track and analyze social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize engagement and reach
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align social content with brand campaigns and key initiatives
  • Identify and engage social influencers, media, and partners, strengthening TRโ€™s digital presence
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to enhance strategy
  • Support crisis communications and rapid-response messaging as needed
