Summary
Join Team Rubicon as an Associate, Social Media and support the execution of their social media strategy to build brand awareness, engage volunteers, and drive donor acquisition. You will manage daily social media activities, monitor engagement, and ensure brand consistency. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance TR's digital presence and optimize content performance. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented communicator with experience in social media management, audience engagement, and performance tracking. This remote position, based anywhere in the US, reports to the Manager, Content Production and offers a flexible schedule. The position requires up to 20% travel for field operations, media events, and organizational storytelling.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand, nonprofit, or organization
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and engagement strategies
- Experience using social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms
- Proven ability to analyze social media performance and make data-driven recommendations
- Strong writing and communication skills, with experience adapting content for different platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- This is a full-time ; REMOTE position based anywhere within the United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
- Travel: Up to 2 0 % non-local travel required to support field operations, media events, and organizational storytelling
Responsibilities
- Manage daily social media operations, including scheduling, posting, and monitoring engagement across platforms
- Engage with TRโs online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in alignment with brand voice and guidelines
- Track and analyze social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize engagement and reach
- Collaborate with internal teams to align social content with brand campaigns and key initiatives
- Identify and engage social influencers, media, and partners, strengthening TRโs digital presence
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to enhance strategy
- Support crisis communications and rapid-response messaging as needed
