Associate Technical Director

Summary

The job is a remote position at Praxent, a financial services software development company. The role requires expertise in front-end and back-end development, leadership skills, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. The employee will be expected to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively.

Requirements

• Expertise with one or more JavaScript frameworks (Front-end)
• Experience with one or more languages/frameworks (Back-end)
• Strong knowledge of relational database design and data architecture
• Experience with DevOps methodologies including CI/CD, monitoring, lean process, and general automation
• Strong understanding of software development life-cycle and best practices
• Familiarity with automated testing, including unit testing, and integration testing
• Leadership: 5+ years leading software development teams
• 8+ years experience in building and deploying service-oriented cloud-based applications
• Experience working in software teams with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies
• Previous development firm/agency environment preferably in a consulting space

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple architectural principles, including OOP, Modularity, and Service Based Architecture
