Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong background in AWS
  • Proven expertise in scaling, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Experience with database technologies such as Postgres and Aurora
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and React environments
  • Solid understanding of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments
  • Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams in DevOps best practices

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clean, maintainable, and performant infrastructure solutions
  • Define and implement architectural strategies for scalable, secure, and cost-effective systems
  • Review infrastructure code and provide feedback to enhance performance and security
  • Build services and tooling to streamline the development and deployment processes
  • Mentor and coach engineering team members on DevOps best practices
  • Establish standards and best practices for infrastructure management, including testing, observability, and security protocols
  • Participate in sprint-related meetings such as standups, grooming, retrospectives, and roadmap planning
  • Encourage a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team
  • Provide consultation for non-technical stakeholders to clarify technical decisions and strategies
  • Advocate for new tools, technologies, and design patterns that can enhance infrastructure efficiency and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced Terraform configurations and infrastructure automation
  • Background in cost-saving initiatives within cloud environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to scaling complex applications
  • Familiarity with security best practices for cloud-based applications
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
