Summary

Join us as a Benefits Director to oversee the administration and compliance of various employee benefit programs, working with brokers and internal stakeholders, managing an active open enrollment, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 12+ years of related benefits design and administration as well as HR operations and policies
  • Experience managing vendor/broker relationships
  • Experience supporting annual benefits review
  • Must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, possess strong organizational skills and prioritization skills, work independently, and meet urgent deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills, including prior experience developing and documenting policies; excellent verbal communication skills, including preparing and conducting presentations

Responsibilities

  • Lead Healthcare renewal, working with brokers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage an active open enrollment
  • Assist employees with new hire benefits orientation and clarifying policies on benefits eligibility, coverage, and applicability
  • Manage relationships with benefits partners for escalated support needs, including claims administration and appeals, COBRA, retirement administration, and HRIS data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, DOL, and IRS (e.g., IRS Form 5500 series)
  • Oversee the preparation of 5500s, SPDs, ACA filings, Workers' Compensation filings, etc
  • Reconcile and process benefits invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
  • 401k Plan project management
