Summary
Join Western Digital as a Benefits Specialist and play a key role in administering and improving employee benefits programs. You will support the administration of various benefits, manage leave of absence processes, assist with COBRA administration, and support open enrollment events. Responsibilities include managing benefit-related email, processing Workday transitions, running reports, and supporting vendor file processing. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in benefits administration, strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, and proficiency in HRIS systems. Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of direct experience as a Benefits Administrator or similar, working specifically with benefit laws and regulations including HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, and COBRA, with demonstrated knowledge of benefits terminology and administrative processes
- BS/BA Degree required
- Experience specifically overseeing benefits administration
- Experience using HRIS Systems, preferably Workday
- Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Human Resources concepts, practices, policies, and procedures
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Support the US administration of our employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, life, disability, voluntary benefits, 401(k) and EAP
- Support the leave of absence administration and manage the relationship with the external leave of absence vendor
- Assist with the COBRA administration process
- Support the processing of US life insurance EOI approval and denials
- Assist with the implementation, execution, and post enrollment review of our US annual Open Enrollment events
- Manage the Benefits e-mail in-box
- Process Workday transitions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date benefits enrollment data
- Run ad-hoc reports per various HR/Payroll/Finance requests
- Support the processing of payroll wire and invoice payment requests in the US and EMEA regions
- Support the processing of vendor files in the US and EMEA regions
- Support and update US and EMEA Benefits sites, as applicable
- Additional duties as assigned
